Farmer leaders Ravi Azad and Vikas Sisar, who were arrested while on their way to gherao the house of MLA Devendra Singh Babli, were taken out of jail at around 12.30 pm on Sunday night after getting bail.
As soon as they came out of the jail, both the farmer leaders directly reached the ongoing dharna in the Sadar police station of Tohana. Here he met Rakesh Tikait and other farmer leaders and had a full discussion about the developments of that day. In this regard, BKU national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait said that both the farmer leaders have got bail and have come to the site of the dharna. After this, the program of gherao of police stations in Haryana scheduled on Monday has been postponed. After the confrontation between Tohana MLA Devendra Singh Babli and the farmers on June 1, a case was registered against the farmers under various sections, including section 307, on the basis of the statement of the MLA’s personal secretary and driver. After this, the farmers reached the mini secretariat and demonstrated under the leadership of farmer leader Gurnam Singh and gave the MLA time till June 6 to apologize. During this, when some farmers started going to village Bidaikheda to gherao the MLA’s house, the police stopped him.
During this, 27 people had made arrests, out of which 25 people were released by the police the next day. But Vikas Sisar and Ravi Azad were arrested by the police and produced in the court, from where they were sent to Hisar Jail. After sending these people to jail, the police had raided for the arrest of others.
