Dehradun, 25 Dec 2023: The Data Security Council of India selected the best 3 state agencies among various states and agencies from across the country. In this, Uttarakhand STF was selected in the category of excellence in capacity building for law enforcement agencies.
Uttarakhand Special Task Force (Cyber Crime Police Station, Dehradun) has done commendable work in controlling cybercrime. Data Security Council of India has selected Uttarakhand STF among the top three cyber units of the country.
STF SSP Ayush Aggarwal said that the Data Security Council of India selected the best 3 state agencies among 40 different states and agencies from across the country. In this, Uttarakhand STF was selected in the category of excellence in capacity building for law enforcement agencies.
They said that under the Special Task Force, different training programs were conducted continuously in the last one year at Cyber Police Station, Dehradun. In March and April, cyber cell and police personnel of all the districts were given one week basic and advanced cyber training related to cyber. E-Suraksha Chakra is being run in the framework of Uttarakhand Cyber Police.
He told that Cyber Police Station Dehradun shares the information received with the cyber cells of the districts through WhatsApp group. JCIT linkage helps in arresting Special Operation related criminals from other states on Warrant B. Thus, the JCIT linkage of any cyber criminal arrested in Uttarakhand is shared with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center through Cyber Police Station Dehradun.
Under the training programs conducted by Cyber Police Station, Dehradun, school and college children and teachers are made aware about cyber crime. Under this, cyber related awareness has been provided to more than 70 thousand people so far. This year a new experiment was also done with cyber comics. Which helps in creating cyber awareness through children also. All efforts have also been appreciated by the Data Security Council of India.
