Dehradun, 23 Jan 2024: In the foreground of the developed Uttarakhand tableau, a Kumaoni woman is shown welcoming in traditional attire.

For the first time, a tableau of developed Uttarakhand will be seen at the Bharat Parv to be celebrated from 23rd to 31st January at the Red Fort in Delhi, in which the development journey of the state has been displayed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had described the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand from the land of Baba Kedar. The government is moving forward in this direction under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. KS Chauhan, Joint Director, and Nodal Officer of the Information Department said that in the front part of the developed Uttarakhand tableau, a Kumaoni woman has been shown welcoming us in traditional attire.

Apart from this, the cultivation of coarse grains Manduwa, Jhangora, Ramdana and Kauni of the state and the state bird Monal have been shown. The homestay was displayed in the central part of the tableau. Thousands of villagers are getting employment through this scheme. He said that in the year 2023, the Central Government had declared Sarmoli village of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand as the best tourist village.

Apart from this, women of the state are becoming self-reliant through Lakhpati Didi Yojana. Local women working in self-help groups and solar energy and mobile towers have also been carved in the beautiful mountains. The last part of the tableau depicts the all-weather road, the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project, the ropeway, and road connectivity to India’s first village Mana.
