Haridwar: On the one hand, there is a possibility of a third wave of corona, while on the other hand people are not ready to follow the rules of Kovid. The latest case is of Dharmanagari Haridwar. Explain that it is mandatory for tourists coming to Uttarakhand from outside to report RTPCR negative and register on Doon Smart City Portal. These days a good number of tourists are coming to the state. Some of whom are following the Kovid rules, but most of the people are not seen doing so. On Sunday, a similar sight was seen in Harki Paidi, Haridwar. A huge crowd of people reached here to bathe in the Ganges. During this social distancing was not followed. At the same time, some people were also seen without masks. On the other hand, on Saturday, on Guru Purnima, without RTPCR negative report, more than 200 vehicles coming to Dharmanagari were returned from the border. However, there were no kanwariyas in the vehicles. In view of the threat of Kovid-19, Railways has implemented travel guideline for passengers reaching Haridwar by trains. In this, passengers will have to bring RTPCR negative report 72 hours before.

Let us tell you that on the occasion of Guru Purnima, devotees coming to Dharmanagari were required to bring RTPCR negative report, but most of the drivers were coming to Dharmanagri without getting tested. 80 vehicles were returned from Narsan Border.

Similarly 70 vehicles were returned from Chidiyapur and 40 from Laharpur border. Even after this thousands of people came to Haridwar.

The District Administration and Municipal Corporation launched a campaign against those who ignore the rules of Kovid and spread dirt on the Ganga Ghats. During this 99 people were challaned.

Municipal Commissioner Jai Bharat Singh said that action would also be taken against those who encroach on the ghats and sell plastic materials.
