The policemen posted in the security of Ram Rahim are not getting promotion. Now these workers have taken shelter in the High Court. The Haryana government said that the officials had misbehaved with the officials while bringing Ram Rahim to Panchkula. Now the High Court has called for a reply from the policemen.
Policemen posted under Ram Rahim’s security have challenged the Haryana government’s decision not to allow promotion courses in the Punjab-Haryana High Court. The Haryana government said that he had misbehaved with the officials while bringing Ram Rahim to Panchkula, due to which he has been suspended.
The High Court has now ordered the petitioners to present their side on the reply of the Haryana Government. Filing the petition, Rajesh Kumar and others told that he is posted in Haryana Police and was entrusted with the security of Ram Rahim. An FIR was also registered against him in the case of violence after the conviction of Ram Rahim. Due to this he was suspended in 2017.
Now the police department had opted for promotion but the Haryana government did not allow them to do the course for it. The petitioner submitted that even though he is under suspension and a departmental inquiry is pending against him, the right to pursue the course cannot be taken away from him. The petitioner has appealed that the Haryana Government should be ordered to allow him to do the course so that the way for his promotion can be cleared.
