December 6, 2023, Nainital: The High Court has given the green signal to the PRD recruitment process and has rejected the petitioner’s plea against the recruitment process.

As per the sources, Uttarakhand High Court has allowed in favor of the PRD recruitment process. The court rejected the petitioner’s plea and upheld the rules. The High Court has rejected the petition challenging the recruitment process of the Provincial Guard (PRD) going on in the state and has agreed to continue the recruitment process. The case was heard before the division bench of Acting Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Tiwari and Justice Vivek Bharti Sharma.

UKSSSC started the recruitment process for 33 posts in the Regional Youth Welfare Provincial Guard (PRD) on 13 October 2023. This recruitment process and rules were challenged in the High Court by Mahesh Joshi, a resident of Kotabagh, Nainital.

It was said in the petition that instead of direct recruitment, recruitment should also be done on all the posts through promotion because they have been working in the department for many years. However, UKSSSC said in the High Court that the rules are correct and the Assembly has full right to make rules on this and the Assembly has made the rules after thinking on this. Therefore, the petition of the petitioner is without merit and hence it should be rejected.
