Haridwar, Uttarakhand – In Jwalapur, there was an altercation between a shopkeeper and a bike rider regarding the removal of goods kept on the road. After this the matter turned into a fight. After which the BJP MLA reached Kotwali with his supporters.

The Election Commission has taken cognizance of the violation of the code of conduct by protesting in the district hospital demanding the release of four people arrested in the assault case and alleging unilateral action. After which the police has registered a case against 150 people including BJP MLA Adesh Chauhan and BJP officials. Identification of people has started from CCTV footage.

According to the police, on Friday there was an altercation between a shopkeeper and a bike rider over the removal of goods kept on the road in Jwalapur. After this the matter turned into a fight. Since the matter was related to different communities, the police arrested four people including a shopkeeper in the case of assault and took them to the police station and all four were challaned for disturbing the peace. Meanwhile, BJP MLA from Ranipur Aadesh Chauhan had reached Kotwali with his supporters. He had talked about leaving all four at the police station. Meanwhile, the workers sat in the office in the Kotwali premises itself. The police started taking the four people to present them in the court, then the MLA also sat in the auto and went with them.

Videos of this case also went viral on social media. The Election Commission took cognizance of this, after which a case has been registered in the city police station against 150 people including the BJP MLA under relevant sections including violation of the code of conduct. SSP said that the matter is being investigated.
