Chandigarh Team Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri reached Sector 34 Chandigarh today and opened its first regional center of the city for public dealing. All work related to college admissions and other public communications will be done in public practice. S. in organizing Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Honorable Chairman CGC, Dr. GG Shastri, Campus Director, Colonel Paul, Director Admin and Sahil Kapoor, Associate Director, and other managerial staff were present.
The event began with ribbon cutting, followed by a devotional event and later a tea breakfast. The center is located at SCO No. 107-108-109, II Floor, Sector 34-A, Chandigarh.
During the interaction with the guests, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Hon’ble Chairman CGC said, “CGC Jhanjeri will continue to create avenues for aspiring students so that they can easily connect with us. The Chandigarh center remains a strong source of communication for the students of the city The presence of this CGC Jhanjeri office will provide counseling to both parents and students in the best way possible. “
Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Hon’ble Chairman CGC referred to new education departments such as Faculty of Law, Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of Liberal Arts and Humanities. Under the Faculty of Law, LLB, BA LLB and B.Com LLB will be started. B Pharmacy and D Pharmacy will be started under the Faculty of Pharmacy. Under the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Humanities, B.A. (Hons) Liberal Arts and Humanities (Economics), B.A. (Hons) Liberal Arts and Humanities (Psychology), and a B.A. (Hons) Liberal Arts and Humanities (English) will be started from the upcoming season.
Dr. GG Shastri, Campus Director interacted with the guests and talked about CGC Jhanjeri’s open scholarship program for higher education i.e. CGC Josh. He said that through zeal, a meritorious student can get a scholarship of up to 5 crores. Achieving more than 60% marks is the only eligibility criterion to apply for CGC Josh.
The Director Administration talked about the new infrastructure plan of CGC Jhanjeri.
Talking about working, Sahil Kapoor, directorial aide said that the center would provide information to parents and students with complete, transparent and complete evidence. “Sahil Kapoor further elaborated on the international MoU. Recently CGC Jhanjeri signed a Memorandum of Understanding with King’s Western University College, Canada. So far CGC Jhanjeri has collaborated with around 25 international education organizations.
