The Indian Government Served CGC Jhanjeri Chandigarh Engineering College, as Nodal Centre for Toycathon21

The Indian government for motivating the innovative mind to conceptualize novel toys and games based on Indian civilization, history, culture, mythology, and ethos, selected Chandigarh Engineering College, CGC Jhanjeri Mohali as a nodal centre for Toycathon -21. an online competition was held where students from different states participated.

It was held between 22nd June & 26th June 2021. On the first day, live on YouTube honourable Prime Minister Narinder Modi addressed the audience in the inauguration ceremony.

CGC Jhanjeri invited Mr Saurabh Jain ex-president of Paytm as a chief guest for the event, inspiring speech motivated everyone. Dr Rajneesh Talwar (Director of engineering and SPOC) gave a short address. In the two days, there were different monitoring sessions which were followed up by evaluation sessions where participants set to work at once in a fixed time based on the ideas given by the evaluators for the improvement of their projects.

Students enthusiastically took part in the event from different states of India. Students were evaluated by judges and HOD of different departments of so many different colleges. It was a fair evaluation and all the announcements and messages were sent on time to the students. Everything was well organized whereas on the last day, the results for the semi-finals were announced and finals took place.

Colleges were allotted different teams in the final round and they were informed timely. The judges and the HOD’s of different colleges evaluated the teams properly. The college organized a valedictory function on June 25, 2021 where all the mentors and students were awarded for their participation and success in Toycathon by the college.

Positive Feedback was given by all the teams for Toycathon-21 and the organinzing team of the college thanked the ministers for hosting such event that worked as creativity- enhancer for the betterment of the society.
